Hello again from my home office which I am enjoying so very much. Many of you visit the clinic for energy healing sessions and some will visit when the time is right. So many of my clients are struggling with overall "stress" so today I would like to touch on how it affects our well being.
Long commutes, raising kids, high-pressure workdays, not enough sleep or exercise, and financial worries all are part of the stress factor and often affect our work performance.
While this may accumulate over a period of time, it is not beneficial to our overall health. It can lead to Burnout in the workplace which we all would like to avoid.
Stress Can Weaken Your Immune System
If you find you have more colds or infections, this may be one sign of overload.
Stress May Weaken The Heart
Stress hormones increase the heart rate and constrict blood vessels. Heart attacks and stroke can be related to stress.
Stress Plays a Factor in Controlling Our Emotions
Often you may feel like you are losing control, have a short temper and often it is just a build up of daily stresses. It can put us in the fight/flight mode very quickly.
These are just a drop in the bucket, but more important is the fact that your overall wellness is better when you have your body balanced, along with regular exercise and relaxation.
